Our S range is designed specifically for commercial high pressure steam boilers. The S series enables the use of untreated water for the steam boiler (straight from the mains). Under the effect of Hydropath, dissolved bicarbonates will change to carbonates when heated releasing carbon dioxide at the same time. These carbonates/precipitation grow in suspension and remove by normal blow down.
The released carbon dioxide will form carbonic acid in water under pressure which will be used to dissolve old scale.
This is how Hydropath technology works by preventing and removing scale on steam boilers. It normally takes less than 2 weeks to notice aragonite scale coming out from blow down. When calcite scale is removed from the boiler, boiler efficiency will be improved and fuel consumption will be reduced.
